I'm not sure how easy it'll be for me to get this Black Rasslin podcast done this week, but I wanted to still recap Raw (just in case). I'm going to break it down based on the videos put up on the WWEFanNation Youtube. I'll try to keep the snark that made you guys love the podcast, but with a lot less "um" and "uh" stuff. Or maybe not...

Jack Swagger vs. Ryback

This wasn't good. Ryback is doing things like falling when he hits a knee. I don't see a future in the Ryback stuff, but I'm assuming this means that Ryback/Jinder is kaput. And now, after not having won a (singles?) match on Raw for almost nine months, they are FINALLY going into a "loser" streak program for Jack Swagger? Too late for anyone to truly care for!

Jerry Lawler/CM Punk

WWEFanNation doesn't have the awesome opening segment up, but Lawler definitely still has it... on the mic. He's competent as a wrestler, and I'd rather see him helping develop the future of the WWE than some of the others out there. He might have it naturally, but he's also helped keep entire federations afloat, on his back. Punk/Lawler made me proud because I knew a wrestling fan like Punk couldn't wait to get into a program like this.

Layla vs. Natalya

How pissed am I that they only have a miniscule part of the match up, and the majority of this video is my girl Vickie doing her promo on AJ's incompetence? I hated that I couldn't enjoy this match as much as I wanted to. I respect Natalya (plus she is thick like we like), and Layla is a lot of fun in the ring. She does the goofy dancing, she's flying around - she's a boatload of bubbles in that ring. But no, we had one of the primary heels tell us how much we don't need to see this match, just to bring up AJ. Thanks, WWE!

Santino Marella vs. Heath Slater

I'll gladly take a bunch of Heath Slater ONE MAN BAAAAAAAAAND, BAY BEEEEEH! and Santino Marellaness if it means seeing Aksana. This match? The cobra nonsense? Meh.

John Cena vs. The Miz

Not a bad match... I've seen them do better. I think the problem is, they HAD a rivalry. There was no reason for this. Cena obviously has to win - we can't have him beat someone who DOESN'T hold one of the singles titles? How am I to take the IC title seriously?

Sin Cara & Brodus Clay vs. Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow

Nothing like combining two meh feuds into one meh tag match. ZZZZZZZZZZZ.

R-Truth vs. Daniel Bryan

I liked this. Not my favorite Truth depiction, but Daniel is on fire and the Little Jimmy stuff is being used perfectly. Sadly, the feud is Bryan vs. Kane, so I'm not sure what good any of this will do.

"Anger Management"

Done by anyone else, these would've been way worse. Wifey told me she doesn't like Daniel Bryan's character, but I tried explaining to her that he's the best wrestler on the roster, but can't get over without this theater. That was during the above match, though - I wonder what she would've said if I had shown her these? The bit where Kane breaks down his life killed me.

Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio & Dolph Ziggler

Randy Orton doing anything is a win these days. This has three of my favorite in-ring performers, and it wasn't bad at all. Of course Sheamus wins.

Zack Ryder vs. David Otunga

No, no need for this. And of course the Black Guy gets chokeslammed.

AJ Announces CM Punk's WWE Title Opponent at Night of Champions

So let me get this straight: we went through last week, with Cena not wanting to call Punk the "best in the world" just to get a title shot, just for AJ to give him the title shot the following week? What a waste of a great Cena promo!

HHH Addresses His Future

So let me get this straight: Undertaker beat HHH at WM28 in what's been built as the "end of an era" - why is HHH NOW talking about "retiring" after one match with Brock? Did anyone under 8 actually believe this? C'mon son!

CM Punk vs. Jerry Lawler

Not mad at this situation. Lawler can still go. With the three stipulation matches, and the way they booked this one to finish, how ELSE could it have gone but a cage match?!?! Oddly enough, Lawler/Miz from last year was much better. Just saying.

Do I really need to say it? Three hour Raws are for the birds. Just too long (that's what she said), too drawn out. Is the bump in pay the WWE gets for the extra hour really worth it? Can we just call this experiment the fail it is and move on? Anything Lawler was worth it this week. The rest of it? It had it's moments. Raw gets straight Cs since #Raw1000, trust. Your thoughts?
